Hello!I was born and reared in Dublin, Ireland, and have also lived for periods in Latin America and Spain.
My professional background is in adult education, community development, addiction work and latterly psychotherapy. I now live and work in Sligo in the North West of Ireland having been drawn to come here 9 years ago by the beautiful landscape. I enjoy poetry, music, landscape, good food and people.
I qualified as a psychotherapist in 1999 and currently work in private practice in Sligo. The principles and dynamics of Move into Life work have informed my psychotherapy practice and were inspirational in the creation of a small wooden cabin (see below) which, as part of a wider landscape of mountains, trees and water, was built to afford a contained sheltered space within which to work while at the same time providing easy access to the outdoors.
Arising out of a desire to share this space with others I co created An Talamh ( a gaelic word meaning the ground of the earth). This is an initiative whereby educators, psychotherapists and those working in the arts have come together to provide workshops which allow individuals and/or groups to explore their creativity and to connect with themselves, others and the earth.
